There’s a great chance that if you’re a Star Wars fan, you’re probably also a Star Wars collector. Be it action figures, memorabilia, posters, art, or whatever else can be licensed, we tend to love buying things to collect from that far, far away galaxy.

I for one am a massive Star Wars collector — mostly toys — which I started taking pictures of a few years ago on Instagram. Hey, it justifies spending thousands each year on them, so it is what it is. Anyway, it’s this new hobby with my Star Wars collectibles that has exposed me to the amazingly talented fan artists on the platform. If you follow us on IG, then you may have seen some of the Star Wars toy shots from the toy community, and you know how amazing the shots can be.

One account that has recently caught my attention is skottie.toys. This account features some of the best action figure unboxings in this galaxy, because Skottie uses stop motion cinematography to pull them off. He’s done it for all sorts of figures, but his latest unboxings have been Star Wars themed. In fact, he created a fun take on the rescue of Princess Leia from the Death Star, and they could easily be his best shorts yet.

You can check them out below, but I highly urge you to follow Skottie on IG to see his new creations. They’re that damn entertaining, trust me, he’s a great follow.

And here’s a compilation of them all to complete the full short in one viewing:

Matt is literally from a galaxy that is far, far away. Star Wars has consumed his life, and made him the geek that he is. He's no fan of the Prequels, but still loves the Maker. When he's not recording his unstable takes for the Star Wars Time podcast, he's either working on EntertainmentBuddha.com, taking pictures of Star Wars toys, or trying to legitimately wield the Force.
