Kevin Smith was lucky enough to visit the set for The Rise of Skywalker, and apparently on the day he was there, the production was schedule to film the movie’s final scene. According to the cast and crew who interacted with Smith, the final scene of the film is one that they expect will melt the minds of fans thanks to what is shown as the movie closes, and Abrams himself is openly thrilled with what the scene features.

In an interview with IGN, Kevin Smith discussed his trip and how he almost had this major moment in the movie spoiled for him before J.J. stepped in and warned him about its epicness. Smith told IGN, “[The crew] were like ‘You have to see [this set], and when you see it, it’ll melt your mind.’” Smith didn’t end up checking out the set to see the scene thanks to J.J., who explained to Kevin that, “You don’t want this spoiled. You want to be in a theater when this happens, trust me.”

Of course Kevin passed on watching the scene, so he’s still in the dark like the rest of us, but I’m not going to lie that I’m highly intrigued about seeing what the hubbub is all about.

I’m sure Nick and I will discuss this in detail on the next episode of the Star Wars Time Show, so get yourself subbed up!
