If you were hoping for a big time reveal of the Mandalorian’s real name on Disney+’s The Mandalorian, then you may be out of luck thanks to a new interview from Pedro Pascal.

He was talking to Screen Slam on YouTube, and at the 2:30 mark he mentions the Mando’s name, and it sounds like Dyn Jarren, or maybe Din Jaren, or Dyn Jarrin depending on spelling.

I figured this would’ve been a huge secret that wasn’t to be let out of the bag until the name was revealed on the show, but I guess I was wrong. The name is new and doesn’t really hint at ties to iconic Star Wars characters past or present, so maybe that’s why it isn’t a major secret meant to be kept. Either way, it’s odd that the name was more than likely revealed via an interview, versus an actual in universe moment on the show.
