That’s a wrap on season 2!

This gives the post production team about 7 months to go through and make the visual effects magic that brings the show to life.

We found out through behind the scenes images and interviews that a majority of the background and environmental effects for the show were actually done via massive LED screens that rendered virtual sets in such high detail that they were almost impossible to detect as a digital image, so we can expect to see more of the same type of work in season 2, as well as some new tricks that Filoni and Favreau have cooked up.

The Mandalorian season 2 is set to release on Disney+ in October.
