Thanks to an image from a recent issue of Star Wars Insider, it looks like Bad Batch season 2 is set to release during the Spring of 2022, which is a wide window, but it does offer some clarity about Disney+’s 2022 Star Wars lineup schedule.

Considering this is from an official source, it’s safe to say that the leaked schedule we posted a few weeks back is a busted rumor at best. While it did technically list Bad Batch dropping within Spring of 2022’s window, it also listed Kenobi airing before it, which just doesn’t seem likely at this point based on how trailers are released for these series.

It seems that after a trailer is released for a Disney Plus series it takes about 6-8 weeks before the show actually airs. You can apply this to The Book of Boba Fett and the recent Moon Knight trailer, so unless we get a Kenobi trailer tomorrow, it’s not looking likely that it’ll release in February.

With that being said, it is now likely that our initial prediction of Kenobi getting the May the 4th window as its release is more accurate than the leaked report. Bad Batch could still release during the Spring if this holds true. It’s just not clear if Disney is willing to overlap its Star Wars content.

Nick and I will talk more about this reveal on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
