The Kiner brothers were on a livestream this week to raise money for Ukraine, and on it The Bad Batch composers dropped a few vague details about the show’s second season. In particular they talked about a location that will be visited, and if there is any sort of time jump after the first season.
Characters New and Old
One of the more interesting points that they brought up was the fact that Omega will be a bit older in Season 2. This gets the old speculation juices flowing in regards to her appearance and if it will be changed drastically, as well as if any of her skill sets have been enhanced. It would be rad to signal her being a bit older through a costume change, possibly giving her a set of armor that matches the style of her clone brothers.
The Kiner brothers also hinted that there will be more characters overall in Season 2. There weren’t any specific mentions, but one should assume they’re referring to both known characters from the Star Wars canon, as well as some fresh ones. Boba Fett feels like a natural fit considering that Omega is his sister, but the brothers didn’t provide any names.
Locations
Fans will be pleased to know that Coruscant will be featured in The Bad Batch in Season 2. The brothers just said there will be scenes on Coruscant, so it’s not overly clear if that means they will feature the Batch, or if we will get some action from the Empire’s stronghold.
Nick and I will talk more about The Bad Batch S2 on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
