Kevin Kiner, the de facto Star Wars animated series composer, was on the Full of Sith Podcast recently, and during his chat he revealed a bit of information about the amount of episodes fans can expect in The Bad Batch Season 1.
Apparently he discussed finishing scoring on the show’s 14th episode, so I think it’s safe to say that the show will have at least 14 episodes in Season 1. That’s definitely more than I imagined as I thought BB would take after the final season of The Clone Wars, but that’s not looking like the case. At this point 14 episodes are seemingly a slam dunk, so the show could reach as high as 20-22, which is the amount of episodes standard TCW seasons featured, or it could stay in the teens and go anywhere from 15-18.
My OCD is hoping for even numbers, but either way it is still surprising to learn that this series will have more than the usual amount of episodes for a Disney Plus project.
If you read the blurb above, it seems Kiner is also hyping up a new character for the franchise, and there’s a good chance he’s talking about the Omega clone girl we saw in the trailer, so check out my speculation video on it to find out more thoughts on this character’s potential.
Nick and I will talk more about this news on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
