Our first interview of the year is live, and it is with Jason Yang, who you may know as @workmoreorless on Instagram. Jason was kind enough to give us two hours of his time so we could find out more about him as a Star Wars fan, and how his fandom has helped to shape his career as a professional designer, but also as a damn great toy photographer.

You’ll learn about his favorite aspects of Star Wars including his favorite film and trilogy, as well as his personal top moment from the films. You’ll also learn a few of his new tips and tricks for photography, such as using this cool ass new cosplay smoke machine to create atmosphere.

Finally, he breaks down his first ever toy shot and a few of his personal favorites before discussing three shots from other artists, which you can find below along with the shots of his that he breaks down.

Matt is literally from a galaxy that is far, far away. Star Wars has consumed his life, and made him the geek that he is. He's no fan of the Prequels, but still loves the Maker. When he's not recording his unstable takes for the Star Wars Time podcast, he's either working on EntertainmentBuddha.com, taking pictures of Star Wars toys, or trying to legitimately wield the Force.
