Stellan Skarsgård, in an interview with Dagens Nyheter, revealed that he is scheduled to film Season 2 of Andor this Fall.
He revealed this while discussing an upcoming role on The Simpsons and his shooting schedule for other projects he is a cast member of such as Dune. He said:
“We start with Dune: Part 2 in July. And then in the Autumn, it’s time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor… I do not know when they will start broadcasting it. It will take some time, so that it does not take too long between Season One and Season Two.”

This is good news for fans of Star Wars, but it would also be nice to just learn more about the show’s first season, which took longer to film than any live-action Star Wars series to-date. It is supposed to air later in 2022, but considering that it was announced years ago, it still seems like one of the most guarded new properties over at Disney Plus.
Either way, it appears that the show has been approved for a second season and possibly a third, so there are big plans for it to say the least. Hopefully we will get more information on Andor’s first season over the summer, but thanks to Stellan, we know that it won’t be its last.
Nick and I will talk more about this interview on this week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
