The long rumored Tales of the Jedi series has finally been made official thanks to a new panel listing for it at Star Wars Celebration 2022. It’s also been revealed that the series will be an animated anthology of shorts, so it will not feature any live-action content.

The Celebration panel for Tales of the Jedi will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 2:30-3:30p. It will take place on the main Celebration stage, and will also stream to the Galaxy and Twin Suns stages. It will be hosted by Amy Ratcliffe, and her special guest will be Dave Filoni.

Considering that the series is described as an anthology of shorts, it will probably be more like the Star Wars Visions series than a traditional animated show like Star Wars Rebels. Although, considering Dave Filoni is involved and the panel is getting the main stage treatment at Celebration, one has to figure that these shorts will be much meatier and more important to the canon than a short done for the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.

Fans will soon find out what’s in store for them with the officially announced Star Wars: Visions, so stay tuned for more details.

Nick and I will talk more about this panel on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
