Kids of the 90s rejoice! Tamagotchis have made a comeback and in the best way possible, with R2-D2 as their newest addition to the once popular line of virtual pocket pets.

For those of you who are either too old or too young to know what this little device is, a Tamagotchi is a virtual pet that you have to care for on a daily basis by training it, cleaning up after it, and feeding it. It was basically a way for kids of the 90s to learn to care for a pet without actually having a life in their hands. The little critters would be in your pocket at all times and only needed a few presses of a button throughout the day to care for them, but really good owners would play with their virtual buddies constantly.

As a 90s kid and a die hard Star Wars fan, this product is the perfect clash of my childhood, but as a 30 year old man, I know I would look ridiculous if I bought one of these things. So, I will not get one, but I will encourage Matt to buy one for his little Jedi Padawan!

The R2-D2 Tamagaotchi releases on November 11th!
