Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games released a brand new story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws today that offered up a deeper look into the story players and Kay Vess will embark upon when the game releases for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X\S on August 20, 2024.

Head on down below for more details on the game, a developer breakdown, the actual story trailer, and stills from the new trailer.

New Character Details

Thanks to the trailer and a new interview with the game’s lead, Julian Gerighty, we now know a few more details about the game’s main cast and the syndicates they’ll interact with as the up and coming scoundrel Kay Vess.

Kay will be getting involved with Sliro, who is the leader of the Zerek Besh syndicate and is based out of Canto Bight, where Kay happened to grow up in the streets. Thanks to a failed mission, Sliro puts a massive bounty on her head and uses the Vail, a new bounty hunter for the game, to hunt him down.

Kay also gets mentored by a Kyle Katarn look-a-like in Jaylen, who tasks her with a mission so big that if completed she will have the freedom she’s been seeking all her life.

Of course Nix, Kay’s animal companion, and ND-5, the rad looking battle droid from the gameplay trailer, also made appearances.

New Syndicate Details

The story trailer also revealed the official list of syndicates that players will interact with in the game. These include the Hutts, the Pykes, Crimson Dawn (Was that Qi’ra?), and the Ashiga Clan.
