Disney has just announced that all of their slated film projects have been delayed 1 year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This move affects all announced films and some movies that were set to release this year, like Mulan which has been removed from the release schedule all together, and upcoming films like Avatar and Star Wars.

This means that the previously announced Star Wars projects that were to release in 2022, 2024, and 2026 are now moved to 2023, 2025, and 2027.

While this is definitely disappointing for fans of the franchise who were excited for what was to come next, it is never bad to give creators more time to build the story and vision around the films they are making. Hopefully this delay will benefit those who will be working on these films.
