Sebastian Stan was on GMA this morning for that little MCU show he’s involved in, but during his interview, the hosts asked him about the rumors of him one day playing a young Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars fans, and even Mark Hamill himself are very familiar with this topic as many over the years have pointed out the uncanny resemblance between Stan and Hamill, so it was cool to actually get a response from Sebastian on his fan casted role.

Now he didn’t confirm or deny any of the rumors, but he did put out a challenge to Mark himself. Stan said:

“If @HamillHimself calls me personally to tell me that he feels inclined to share this role with me then I’ll believe it.”

Sebastian Stan – GMA

Stan to me, is basically asking for Hamill to green light this fan created idea, and if he does, it sounds like Sebastian would jump at the chance to play young Skywalker. I personally waffle on the thought of a new Luke Skywalker actor, but it’s hard not to see the resemblance between these two actors, so I also wouldn’t hate it if it happened. But then again, I’d also be fine taking somewhat goofy looking CGI Luke knowing Hamill was still behind the performance.

At the time of this posting Hamill hadn’t taken he bait yet, but knowing how well he works social media, I do believe we will get some reply when he’s made aware of the challenge.

Nick and I will talk more about Stan’s interview in next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
