In a recent interview Sasha Banks made it pretty clear that her Koska Reeves character will not be returning to The Mandalorian for its third season. While there is a chance that she’s trying to get one over on us, she is a wrestler after-all, her quotes seem pretty straight forward and not dodgy like most actors get when asked about upcoming projects.

It did seem like Koska would be a natural choice for Season 3 considering her ties to Bo Katan, but according to Banks, it’s just not in the cards.

“First of all, thanks for trying to get that out, but I’m not on the next season, but it was incredible being on The Mandalorian on Star Wars. To be on a franchise that is so huge and so loved, just look at the reception from fans outside of the WWE Universe. It was the best feeling of all time. The projection of that show was overwhelming. I legit felt like I was in a galaxy so far, far away. I felt like I was on a different planet.

Again, there is definitely a chance that she’s bluffing as Star Wars cast member tend to do. Bill Burr said he wasn’t in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, but fans found that to be a lie thanks to his excellent turn in Season 2, Episode 7, so Sasha could be playing the same game.

There’s also a chance that her character may be involved in The Book of Boba, and its events could hint at why she won’t appear in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Axe Woves was mysteriously absent from the show’s finale last year, and it was explained that he was off doing something important, so maybe he gets more screen time in Season 3 than Koska.

Who knows at this point, so I guess we have to take Sasha’s word for it. Typically when action figures get made for a character they’re probably going to become a fixture in Star Wars, so unless Sasha’s done something odd to upset the Lucasfilm brass, I do think Koska will be in the mix again at some point if the character truly is being left out of Mando S3.

Nick and I will talk more about Sasha’s interview in next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
