According to SWNN, it sounds like a well known Star Wars bounty hunter will be appearing in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series in an unknown capacity.
If you’re avoiding SPOILERS, then do not proceed.
The rumors and leaks for Obi-Wan Kenobi are coming hot and fast these days, and this latest one will make Empire Strikes Back fans happy, or those who have chosen bounty hunters as their favorite Star Wars characters to see.
SWNN is reporting that their source has told them to 4-LOM will make an appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi, but that is the only detail provided. It’s not clear what capacity 4-LOM will be used in, but apparently the murder-bot will be returning to live action for the first time since The Empire Strikes Back.
4-LOM has most recently been featured in the excellent War of the Bounty Hunters series, and things to fair too well for him, but considering Kenobi’s timeline, none of that matters as the WotBH’s timeline took place between ESB and ROTJ.
In terms of speculating how 4-LOM may be used, one would think that he will be hired to either find Kenobi, or one of Ben’s acquaintances that he will run into throughout the duration of the limited series. It’s doubtful that 4-LOM would be on the side of good, but I guess money talks, so there is a chance that he is hired to do some good guy work too.
Nick and I will talk more about 4-LOM in Kenobi on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
