Thanks to a new report from Insider Gaming, it appears that Respawn Entertainment (Titanfall and Jedi Survivor), is currently working on a first-person Star Wars game that will star a Mandalorian bounty hunter.

Now it’s not clear if this bounty hunter is Din Djarin, another famous helmet wearing bounty hunter like Boba Fett, or a no namer, but it does sound like the game will be set during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Players will be rewarded for mobility and style thanks to the jet packs that Mandalorians wear.

Apparently players will be rewarded for playing at a fast pace with with stylish attacks. In fact, it’s being reported that player health regeneration will be based on how many successive kills are strung together. Of course players will have access to all sorts of weapons, wrist rockets, targeting visors and other tools of the Mandalorian religion.

The game will not be open world, rather it will feature focused linear levels set across the Star Wars galaxy. It’s still up to two years from release as well, and it’s not clear if it will feature a multiplayer mode.

Nick and I will talk more about Giancarlo’s the Mando game on this week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
