Disney and Lucasfilm have released the D23 special look at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and it doesn’t disappoint. If you’re a Star Wars fan you’ve probably already read 1000 articles describing what is in it, and what it may all mean, but it’s nice to finally see it in person if you weren’t at D23.

The first half of the spot is all dedicated to the Skywalker Saga and provides a look back at scenes from all of the eight previously released Skywalker flicks. Then it starts showing off the new footage from The Rise of Skywalker, and each scene is brand spanking new. There’s aren’t many, but they’re fresh, so I’ll make sure to create stills of the good stuff for you to comb through in another post.

Of course the talk of Star Wars town is Dark Side Rey, and she’s definitely featured at the end, but I’m going with this being a ruse. There’s no way they’re going to reveal this version of Rey in a trailer if she’s real, so this is probably some sort of vision, but I’m sure I’ll do a breakdown of the scene in a video yet to be releases, so stay tuned for that hot air.
