So apparently, in Gillard and the stunt team’s mind, Anakin was much more violent in the lead-up to his final battle with Obi-Wan. A choke and a slam against a ship for Padme would have definitely been a bit more damaging than what we see in the final cut. But, as Gillard put it, that’s why you have people there to approve ideas before they make it on screen!
