Deadline is reporting that Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as live action Sabine Wren in the Ahsoka series for Disney+. Bordizzo is known for her role on The Society, and while I’ve never seen her in action, she definitely looks the part.

The report details Sabine Wren as being a series lead for the Ahsoka show, which makes perfect sense considering the epilogue of Star Wars Rebels, and how the two freedom fighters set out on a journey to find Ezra Bridger. With Ahsoka invoking the name of Thrawn in The Mandalorian, her series has to focus on her beef with him and in turn the search for Ezra, so yes, Sabine Wren should be a lead character.

Deadline didn’t have any other details on the series, but based on a recent report, it should start shooting this March with a 2023 release date in mind.

Nick and I will talk more about this casting news on next week’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
