I must admit that I’m surprised that with each new TV spot for The Mandalorian, we are getting more and more fresh looks at the show. Yet another new one dropped last night, and like the two others from this week (Fennec Trailer and FX Trailer), it mostly featured all new footage.

There’s one shot in particular of note though, and it comes early on. We see what appears to be a Mandalorian blacksmith (maybe the Mando himself?), probably forging Mando’s sleek chrome armor, and this person is wearing a helmet that is reminiscent of the helmet worn by Bo-Katan in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

Although, there are some deviations from her model. It’s not painted and styled like Katan’s, but the general feel of the helmet’s slits are. The main difference is that this helmet has a more pointed tip that extends down the center, effectively splitting the eye slit into two distinct sections. It’s definitely a nod to her helmet style, and could hint at possible ties between the Mando and Katan’s Clan.

The Mandalorian hits Disney+ on November 12th!
