You’ve probably heard the news by now that the production for the Disney+ Kenobi series has been delayed until January of 2021, supposedly to rework the scripts, and possibly the number of episodes. While the exact details of the reason for the delay are unknown, it does sound like the project isn’t going to be scrapped altogether.
According to Ewan McGregor, who spoke to ET last night about these rumors, the production has indeed been delayed to make the scripts better, but he assured fans that the show is still set to hit its planned release date, which I’m assuming would be towards the end of 2021, or early 2022.
Being a fanboy, I naturally had a reaction to this new Disney Star Wars flub, so tune into the rant below.
One can only hope this mess works itself out, because if this show gets cancelled altogether, or neutered, I think even people like me, who have been accepting of most Disney Star Wars, will finally lose all hope in the company’s ability to manage this treasured piece of pop culture.
