Variety is reporting that Joby Harold, someone you’ve never heard about and who hasn’t done much writing in Hollywood, will be the new writer for the Kenobi series slated for Disney Plus.

This definitely sounds like a Disney Star Wars move, which means it’s probably a really dumb one. I say this because Harold has literally never written anything for TV, and for the most part, he’s never written anything any of us has seen yet. His credits are mostly for being an executive producer. He was the EP on John Wick 3, so he’s not an asswipe, but I question his writing skills based on his resume.

Can’t Filoni just take over writing for everything Star Wars!?
