Everyone loves Jeff Goldblum. If you don’t, you aren’t human, and when it comes to awesome geek powered properties, Jeff has some pretty good titles under his belt. Jurassic Park 1 & 2, The Fly, Thor Ragnarok, Independence Day, and the list goes on, but the one thing he doesn’t have to his name is a Star Wars credit.

In a recent interview with Insider, Jeff was asked for this thoughts on The Mandalorian and had this to say:

I’m a fan of it! I’m a fan, of course, of Taika Waititi. I adore him, always did before I even worked with him, and maybe we’ll do something again together. We’ve talked about doing something else that has to be secret right now but I would do anything with him, sure. And Disney+ are just a great bunch.

At the end of the quote, Goldblum mentions a project that Taika Waititi has approached him for that has to stay secret for now. We all know that Taika is signed on to write and direct an upcoming Star Wars film for the big screen, and we also know that secrecy is probably of paramount importance for the next iteration of Star Wars coming to the big screen.

Given Jeff’s history with Taika through Thor Ragnarok, it wouldn’t be surprising if we see him included via cameo or a small role in Taika’s big screen Star Wars film.

We are still multiple years out from the release of the next Star Wars film, so anything could happen between now and then, but I would be a fan of bringing Goldblum into the franchise in a role that makes sense.
