According to The Ankler’s Jeff Sneider, one of the creators of LOST is rumored to be working on a Star Wars film, and it’s not J.J. Abrams.

While Abrams already had his turn with The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker, Damon Lindelof has not, and that is who Sneider is claiming is working on a new Star Wars movie.

The above tweet is all Jeff knows at this point, so if Damon is indeed working on a Star Wars movie, nothing has been announced for it. He has been quoted in the past saying he has interest in both the MCU and Star Wars, so it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that he has indeed been working on a SW flick. The real question is what will it be about, or will it ever see the light of day.

Star Wars films have been put in a holding pattern since 2019, and while Rogue Squadron has been officially announced, in addition to a Taika Waititi project, nothing else has been made official in Lucasfilm land. This means Damon could definitely be working on an unannounced project, but it also means that fans may never hear about it in an official capacity if Disney and Lucasfilm decide to change paths moving forward.

Lindelof has been a part of a few pretty great projects, with Watchmen being his most recent hit, so I’m down with getting a Star Wars project from him if this rumor is indeed true.

Nick and I will talk more about this rumor on today’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
