Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, recently sat down with EW and talked about the final Skywalker film. In particular, she talked about the whole Reylo movement that fans have been shipping since The Force Awakens.

She hints that Kylo and Rey’s odd bond will be addressed in the film, and that she enjoys all of the fan theories that have sprung up around it.

She said:

“It does not bother me, people writing theories. It’s really fun hearing them. Plus, because I know what’s sort of going to happen, I think it’ll be really interesting to see people’s reaction to [the final film]. Obviously, there’s this whole Reylo thing and some people are very passionate about it, some aren’t.”

So she’s essentially saying that there will be some sort of resolution, or more clarity provided for Rey and Kylo’s bond. She expanded upon her statement below:

“J.J. does deal it [it]. It’s a very complex issue. People talk about toxic relationships and whatever it is. It’s no joke and I think it’s dealt with really well because it’s not skimmed over.”

That statement makes it even more clear that their relationship, whatever it may be, will be dealt with in TROS, so now we just have to wait and see how it pans out. Will they be lovers, friends, foes, or each other’s tragic hero? We shall know on December 19th (Early screenings duh).
