Live last week on the SWTS we discussed a rumor that Eternals Director, Chloe Zhao, had been tapped to direct Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film, but like many rumors from last week (Disney+ Day anyone?), this one seems to be bogus as well.

According to THR’s Heat Vision newsletter, their insiders are telling them Zhao is not attached to Feige’s movie or any Star Wars movie for that matter. This could change over time, but based on last week’s reports, which made it sound like Chloe was a lock to direct some Star Wars, this new revelation puts an end to all of that chatter.

Up next in Lucasfilm land is the news that Kathy Kennedy has signed on for another three years at the studio. This will surely lead to plenty of hate and trolling, and a part of me gets it on the Star Wars movie front, but she also produces the streaming shows and they’re excellent, so fans shouldn’t be surprised that she keeps getting renewed.

I will talk more about these updates on today’s episode of the SWTS, so don’t forget to tune into the Star Wars Time Show on a weekly basis via our podcast platforms or via YouTube if you prefer the livestream angle.
