I finally got caught up with the new Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic, which dropped last week and featured at least one cool addition to the Star Wars canon, and that addition involved Boba Fett.

Check out the video below to find out what Fett did after scoring Han Solo in carbonite on Bespin, as well as my thoughts on the series in general.

I’m a little late on covering the new Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic series, but I still wanted to offer up some interesting canon it adds, as well as my overall thoughts of the series so far.

In terms of cool Star Wars canon moments, I found the fact that Boba Fett took on a bounty while still transporting Han Solo in carbonite to be quite interesting.

You see, the issue starts with a flashback on Corellia, which also provides a nice Lady Proxima easter egg, but more importantly it sets the stage for why Boba would take a detour after capturing his most treasured of bounties.

He along with Valance and Bossk were on a mission with Valance’s mentor Nakano Lash, but she ends up wasting an important Crime Syndicate figure, which in turn burns the rest of the bounty hunters, causing them to want a little revenge on her.

So fast forward to right after ESB, they all start getting word that Lash has surfaced, so naturally, a man like Boba wants his vengeance, so much so he doesn’t want payment, and delays the delivery of Han Solo to Jabba the Hutt.

While that was a cool addition to canon, I wasn’t completely feeling Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a huge homer for iconic characters from the OT, namely the main good and bad guys, or if the issue itself was just kind of dull due to it setting up events, but I definitely wasn’t as entertained as I’ve been while reading Vader, Rise of Kylo, and the Star Wars 2020 runs.

I’ll give it a few more issues, but I’d like the narrative to bleed more into the main events taking place during the OT era, because I don’t think a character like Valance is enough of a draw for someone like me.
