The Bad Batch gang is mostly back together after last week’s episode, but that doesn’t mean everyone is on the same page, so in Season 3 Episode 5, “The Return”, the focus is put on reestablishing trust between the newly reunited quasi-family.

The episode features familiar locations from seasons past, as well as some surprise enemy encounters, but it really shines in its character building. This is especially true with Hunter and Crosshair, who face the toughest road to reconciliation due to past grievances and a severe lack of trust thanks to Crosshair’s Imperial turn.

While the Imperials were completely left out of this episode it still moved the overarching plot of the Season forward, and Clone Force 99 is one step closer to freeing the clones incarcerated in Tantiss.
