We’ve crossed the halfway point in The Bad Batch’s final season, and to celebrate the affair a familiar face returned to the series to stir things up, while also leaving fans with plenty of speculation fun thanks to how this character closes out the episode.

While the Imperial side of things were only addressed via a bounty hunter proxy, the episode still did a fine job at moving the plot lines along and getting the team closed to figuring out why Hemlock needs Omega so badly, as well as the team building new bonds en route to an inevitable showdown at Tantiss.

The most interesting part of the episode was the end when it was revealed that Fennec is working with a mystery partner and gave up the Clones intel to them. I for one think it was Asajj Ventress, solely based on the tone and content of the conversation, but I wouldn’t be mad if it was Boba Fett either. Both make strong narrative sense, and while Cad will be in this season, I don’t think he and Fennec are on good enough terms to willingly help each other out for fun.
